Gosforth Park

The Park offers an excellent range of leisure and play facilities for all ages. There is plenty of green space for ball games and picnics. There is a whole range of pretty flowerbeds to admire which feature a mix of flowers and shrubs, with ornamental roses and spectacular spring bulbs and make sure you visit the wildflower meadow and wildlife pond which is a haven for local wildlife.

Gosforth Golf Club

Are you a keen golfer? Then why not book a round or two at Gosforth Golf Club, known as the “Bridlepath” due to a popular path dividing the course into two parts. “The signature hole is the 18th which is generally played into the prevailing wind and deservedly ranked as one of the toughest finishing holes in the Northeast. Up for the challenge? Visitors are very welcomed and equipment rentals are available.

Jesmond Dene

Jesmond Dene is a haven of peace and tranquility. It is a narrow-wooded valley that follows the river Ouseburn between South Gosforth and Jesmond Vale. The Dene stretches for over three kilometers and provides strong historical links with 19th Century industrial development and landscape design Lord Armstrong’s influence being very apparent. The dene also has a Pet’s Corner home to a range of animals including goats, pigs, rabbits and exotic birds.
