Life Science Centre
An award-winning science museum located a short walk from our City Centre properties. The centre celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2020 and is the home of scientists, clinicians, educationalists and business people promoting the advancement of life sciences. The museum features attractions such as a 3D motion simulator ride and lots of interactive exhibitions and science demonstrations
Grainger Town & Grey’s Monument
Grey’s monument stands 135 foot high known as a favorite meeting place in the centre of the city. Built in 1835 in memory of the second Earl Grey, it commemorates his role as Prime Minister and architect of the 1832 Reform Bill. The column has a viewing platform but it is only occasionally open to the public.


Newcastle Castle
A short walk to Newcastle’s High-Level Bridge a well preserved Norman fortified tower bears testimony to the “New Castle” There are many old passages and medieval chambers to explore and displays of fascinating archaeological artifacts along with fantastic views of the city.
Hancock Museum
The Great North Museum is a Victorian building and hosts many artifacts from ancient Egypt and Greece, the Romans and Hadrian’s Wall as well as a digital planetarium. There is a fun interactive zone for children and a garden to explore. The museum is next door to Exhibition Park which is a great picnic spot after spending a morning at the museum.
